Bristol Classic Rum, Cognac Wood Finish
The La Bourdonnais distillery produces atypical rums, made from pure sugarcane juice but very different from traditional French rums. The vegetal and spicy character of the starting spirit is tempered here by the wood. The finish in ex-Cognac casks brings not fat or indulgence but an imposing structure. A great spirit, austere but delicious.
