“It’s the second barrel that tells the whole story.” How better to describe Woodford Double Oaked than through the words of its creator, Chris Morris? A masterclass in balance and complexity, this innovative bourbon, introduced in 2012, reinvents the bourbon experience with a unique double maturation process. After an initial ageing in toasted and charred American white oak barrels, Woodford Reserve Bourbon is transferred to a second barrel that has been intensely toasted and lightly charred, delivering a transformative second maturation. This groundbreaking process imbues Woodford Double Oaked with profound notes of caramel, vanilla, and dried fruits, enriched by woody and spiced undertones. The result is an intense and velvety bourbon, where every aromatic note unfolds with unmatched depth.
