Our history

The Whisky Lodge is a family story that began in 1968 in Clermont Ferrand. Gabriel Tissandier founded Les Caves Tissandier, specialising in exceptional wines and spirits. In 1993, he specialised in spirits and founded The Whisky Lodge in Lyon. The company quickly established a reputation for importing many prestigious brands, renowned for the quality of their bottling, including Gordon & Macphail, Adelphi, Papy Van Winkle and Bristol Classic Rum. Pierre Tissandier joined his father in 2011, after working for several years for leading brands within Moët Hennessy Diageo. For 36 years, the company has remained family-owned and independent, both in spirit and in its recommendations.
