The Distillery

Ailsa Bay, an unconventional distillery with a wide range of products, was established in the Lowlands in 2007, in the heart of the Grivan grain distillery, which once housed the Ladyburn distillery. Its avowed aim is to produce different styles of whisky for William Grant's blends, but also catering to the ever increasing demand for Glenfiddich and Balvenie type malts. With an annual capacity of 12 million litres of pure alcohol, Ailsa Bay now produces four types of malt, one of which is particularly peated.
