Miyagikyo

Distilled in the mountainous region of Sendai on Japan’s main island, Honshu, Miyagikyo Single Malt is made from unpeated malted barley and distilled in swan-neck stills operated at low pressure. This method produces a light, floral distillate with subtle fruitiness. Maturation in American oak and xérès casks imparts depth and complexity while preserving the spirit’s finesse. The nose displays ripe pear, white flowers, candied fruits and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is supple, revealing notes of biscuit, yellow apple, nuts and light vanilla. Subtle oak and a mild herbal nuance add structure. The medium-length finish offers impressions of black tea, dried fruits and spiced bread. This single malt reflects the signature Miyagikyo style, focused on aromatic elegance and distillate clarity.
