Rhum JM Juste Macouba 2022

This rum is a blend of young agricole rums aged for one to two years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry oak casks, paying tribute to the volcanic terroir of Macouba. The sherry casks contribute a distinct aromatic component, characterised by nutty, dried fruit and caramel notes. The nose reveals fresh sugarcane, raisins, fig, blond tobacco and vanilla. The palate is dynamic, with a silky texture and fine tension, finishing on soft spice and dried fruit. The overall profile reflects an approach to complexity achieved through early-stage maturation.
