The Distillery
Glenglassaugh Distillery, nestled in the serene crescent of Sandend Bay, embodies a perfect harmony between land and sea. The story begins with the pure, mineral-rich water from the Glassaugh spring on Durne Hill, which influences the sweet, tropical taste of every Glenglassaugh expression. The distillery opens up to nature, with the lush scent of yellow gorse filling the still house air. Matured in coastal warehouses, the whisky develops a harmonious balance between the lush, ripe new make spirit and the sweetness of oak casks, finished with a signature crack of sea salt. The unique coastal whisky of Glenglassaugh is a distillation of its serene, natural surroundings, inviting nature in to create exceptional single malt whiskies.
