The Whisky Lodge Edition 2025
A whisky of warmth and character, this exceptional Aberlour perfectly showcases the distillery’s mastery of cask selection and maturation.
On the nose, it opens with a bold and fruit-forward attack, revealing notes of poached pear, dried dates, and apricot. Gradually, hints of cocoa powder emerge, while a polished oak character envelops a touch of liquorice stick. With aeration, a distinguished rancio—reminiscent of fine aged Cognac—adds further depth and elegance.
The palate offers a lively yet silky texture, with the alcohol seamlessly integrated. The flavours unfold with warmth, accompanied by a delicate hint of spice. A vibrant burst of apricot and greengage leads into a lingering, indulgent finish dominated by barley sugar.
On the retro-olfaction, a refined chocolatey richness emerges, complemented by subtle notes of walnuts, almonds, and powdered ginger. A final touch of sherry lends sophistication and persistence, rounding off this remarkable whisky with finesse.
Drawn from cask no. 3266, carefully selected and exclusively bottled for The Whisky Lodge, this single cask yielded 612 bottles.

The distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, near the village of Charlestown of Aberlour. A philanthropist and a distiller, James Fleming financed the metal bridge that crosses the river, the school and the local hospital. The whisky is aged mainly in Bourbon barrels and sherry casks (Oloroso Butt). The style of these whiskies is very close to Speyside whiskies.
