Dailuaine 12 year old 2011 Oloroso Sherry Finish
Wilson & Morgan, Cask Strength
Finished for 30 months in Oloroso sherry casks, this malt presents winey notes and an old bookstore aroma on the nose. On the palate, dried fruits and orange juice combine with marked salinity. The dry, appetising finish pairs well with aged cheeses.

The Distillery
The Dailuaine distillery was founded in 1852 by William Mackenzie. The first official bottling of Dailuaine is a 16 Year Old in the "Flora & Fauna" series, followed by a 22 Year Old Cask Strength in the "Rare Malts" series. The distillery uses rapid distillation, long fermentation and reduced copper contact to obtain a powerful "new make", marked by meaty notes, the secret of the longevity of the great Speyside malts.
