Particularly sunny, this Dailuaine is an explosion of fruits: tropical fruits – pineapple, mango, guava, lychee – or yellow orchard fruits – peach, nectarine – subtly paired with a delicious hint of vanilla giving the perfect illusion of a peach melba. In a Scottish version though: subtly sprinkled with pieces of butterscotch shortbread. A real dessert!

The Distillery

The Dailuaine distillery was founded in 1852 by William Mackenzie. The first official bottling of Dailuaine is a 16 Year Old in the "Flora & Fauna" series, followed by a 22 Year Old Cask Strength in the "Rare Malts" series. The distillery uses rapid distillation, long fermentation and reduced copper contact to obtain a powerful "new make", marked by meaty notes, the secret of the longevity of the great Speyside malts.
