This new exclusive cuvée for The Whisky Lodge is a true ode to Aberlour distillery’s expertise. Perfectly illustrating its mastery of double maturation in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, this new bottling seduces with its very present woodiness, yet with a rare balance. While the American oak brings delightful notes (vanilla, powdered cocoa) and spring-like (basket of orchard fruits), the European oak adds depth and a more complex character (violet, old rose, nuts). A coating and enveloping whisky, with a certain deliciousness and wild elegance.

The Distillery
The distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, near the village of Charlestown of Aberlour. A philanthropist and a distiller, James Fleming financed the metal bridge that crosses the river, the school and the local hospital. The whisky is aged mainly in Bourbon barrels and sherry casks (Oloroso Butt). The style of these whiskies is very close to Speyside whiskies.
