Double Sherry Cask Finish
Aberlour enthusiasts already know how brilliantly the distillery uses Sherry casks to age its whisky. So, here's excellent news for these epicureans: the Aberlour 18 years Double Sherry Finish spends part of its maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. The result is an eminently fruity malt, leaning towards chocolate, toffee, raisins, candied orange, and spices.

The Distillery
The distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, near the village of Charlestown of Aberlour. A philanthropist and a distiller, James Fleming financed the metal bridge that crosses the river, the school and the local hospital. The whisky is aged mainly in Bourbon barrels and sherry casks (Oloroso Butt). The style of these whiskies is very close to Speyside whiskies.
