Rarely officially bottled, this Speyside whisky benefits from two years in Oloroso casks to finish its maturation. On the nose, winey and slightly sour notes blend with a buttery touch. On the palate, marzipan almonds and dried apricots dominate, with a tannic and herbal background. A woody and bitter finish adds a complex conclusion.

The Distillery

Glenlossie belongs to the exclusive club of distilleries owned by Diageo, unknown to most whisky lovers, but working at full speed to supply the group's blends. Its malt is fine, sometimes oily, with a typical herby note when it comes out of the still. The only known bottling is part of the “Flora & Fauna” series, bottled at ten years.
