The Sancti Spiritus distillery is one of the last active distilleries in Cuba, as most of them fled with the advent of the Castro regime and the imposition of the American embargo. This 13-year-old rum, typical of the Cuban style, benefits from a finish in ex-Sherry casks, enveloping the traditional "rum-raisin" ice cream notes with a particularly enveloping texture. Rich, indulgent, and chocolatey on the nose, this very appealing rum literally explodes on the palate, offering a beautiful length with vanilla and spices.
