Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength

The second release in Torabhaig’s Legacy Series, Allt Gleann Batch Strength is a single malt from the Isle of Skye distilled from Concerto and Laureate malted barley, peated to over 78 PPM. Fermented using a combination of Pinnacle MG+ and Safspirit M-1 yeasts, the distillation delivers a dense aromatic profile. Maturation occurs in 80% first-fill bourbon casks and 20% refill whisky barrels, producing a structure that balances smoky intensity, fruit richness and oak influence. Bottled at cask strength, 61.1%, without chill filtration or colouring, this expression opens on the nose with beach bonfire smoke, sweet spices, cigar box and lemon peel. On the palate, the smoke continues alongside oily citrus, vanilla biscuit, tropical fruit and a subtle medicinal undertone. The finish is long and slightly floral, combining orchard fruit, savoury peat smoke and a lasting salinity. This bottling exemplifies the heavily peated yet composed profile of Torabhaig’s distinctive ‘Smoke with Taste’ house style.
