The Distillery

This brand, probably one of the most famous in the world of Bourbon, was founded in 1888 by Paul Jones Jr, an entrepreneur who had settled a few years earlier in Louisville, Kentucky. The name "four roses" is said to refer to the four roses worn by Paul Jones Jr's fiancée in response to his proposal. The company was so successful that it purchased the Frankfort Distilling Company in 1922. Today, the Four Roses distillery, located in Lawrenceburg, produces several different styles of Bourbon recipes.
