Yushan Signature Smoky

Made from peated spirit at 35 ppm, Yushan Signature Smoky is matured for four years in 200-litre first-fill bourbon barrels that have not been re-charred. This Taiwanese single malt is distilled in Scottish copper pot stills, then aged under the island’s unique climatic conditions, without chill filtration or added colouring. The use of American oak allows for a controlled integration of peated notes, while bringing structure and softness to the profile. Aromatically, it opens with floral and citrus tones, followed by a palate marked by caramelised cane sugar and a measured smokiness. The finish is long and develops well-integrated ashy notes. Overall, it delivers a clear interpretation of tropical peated whisky, structured around oak and peat.
