The Distillery

Located by the river Spey and the Fiddich, its tributary, the Craigellachie distillery makes quite an impression. Its large glass facade, like a stage, can be seen from the roadside and displays 4 large copper stills, key players in the production of this characterful single malt. However, it is behind the scenes, at the back of the distillery, that another decisive operation takes place. The worm tub condensers, characteristic of Craigellachie, contribute to the cooling process, giving this Speysider a particularly robust structure and a dominant sulphur note. It is this combination of refinement and strength that makes Craigellachie a malt that is prized by blenders (and connoisseurs).
