Nikka Super

Launched in 1962, Nikka Super is a Japanese blended whisky created in tribute to Rita Taketsuru. It combines grain and malt whiskies sourced from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The style is defined by a rounded aromatic structure, subtly underpinned by light peat and sherry cask influences. Traditional distillation and precise blending result in a focused sensory profile. On the nose, notes of sage, mirabelle plum and Russian leather give way to floral nuances of lilac and lavender, supported by discreet oak. The palate reveals a supple, lively texture featuring lavender honey, almond, gently salted malt, and hints of marshmallow and violet. The finish introduces a delicate smokiness, alongside grassy and aniseed notes.
