The Distillery
Once a hub of distilleries (more than 70), the small Isle of Arran, Scotland’s southernmost, remained nonetheless free of distilleries between 1837 and 1995. Since the release of its first 3 Year Old single malt in 1998, the distillery has gradually imposed its creamy and fruity style, offering a subtle but crowd-pleasing whisky. It also produces two blends: Lochranza and Robert Burns, as well as a "cream liqueur". A second distillery, Lagg, opened in 2019 and is now dedicated to the peated version of the Arran malt.
