Waterford Cuvée Argot

Waterford Cuvée Argot is composed of single malts distilled separately from barleys grown on various Irish farms, each expressing distinct soil and climatic characteristics. Inspired by the concept of cuvées in fine winemaking, the expression brings together components matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, virgin oak, French wine casks and fortified wine barrels. Each element is aged individually before blending. The result is a layered, complex single malt with a distinctive aromatic profile. On the nose, almond, orange zest, stewed apple, bread crust and fennel emerge in succession. The palate is vibrant and spiced, revealing white pepper, granola, grapefruit, white chocolate and a subtle smoky hint. The texture is rounded yet structured, with clear delineation of flavour components. The finish is long and generous, sustained by warm spices and delicate sweetness. This cuvée reflects Waterford’s multi-farm philosophy and the richness of Irish terroir.
