Planteray Xaymaca is a 100% pot still Jamaican rum that captures the intense, estery profile of traditional high-ester distillates. Made from molasses and sourced from both Long Pond and Clarendon distilleries, it showcases a fermentation range of 1 to 3 weeks and is distilled exclusively in copper pot stills—Vendome at Clarendon and John Dore at Long Pond. With an ester content of 156 g/hL AA and total volatiles reaching 312 g/hL AA, this rum delivers powerful aromas of overripe banana, charred pineapple, and spicy funk. The spirit undergoes dual aging: tropical maturation in bourbon casks followed by continental finishing in Ferrand oak barrels. No sugar is added (0 g/L), preserving the dry, uncompromising character of this high-integrity rum.
