This traditional Speyside distillery, founded in 1897, has had a chequered history of mothballing, change of ownership and closure. Nevertheless, it still owns and operates its own malting floors and produces both peated and unpeated malt. The distillery uses double or triple distillation, depending on the single malt required. The official bottling of Benriach 10 Year Old was launched in 2004. The distillery was mothballed again in 2002. In 2004, the distillery released five new versions.
