The Distillery
La Gauloise, established in 1783, traces its roots to a legendary recipe dating back to ancient Gaul and handed down through centuries. According to tradition, Roman legions favoured this liqueur over the gods' own mead. Rediscovered by Sieur Requier, an alchemist and master distiller of his time, La Gauloise rose again like a phoenix with a unique blend of botanicals, including angelica, St John’s wort, and saffron. Distilled over wood fire and aged with care, this bicentenary liqueur reveals an unparalleled aromatic richness, combining finesse and roundness with remarkable depth.
