Roof Rye
Roof Rye, a 100% French rye whisky, stands out with its double maturation in Brittany and Provence. It is composed of a minimum of 51% rye (80% for the current batch) and is distilled by the Distillerie Warenghem in Lannion, Brittany. This whisky then undergoes several years of maturation (6 years for the current batch) in sherry casks in the cellars of Distillerie Warenghem, under the temperate and humid climate of Brittany, reminiscent of the Scottish climate. It then experiences a second maturation in new, charred American oak casks in Provence, in the cellars of Guillaume Ferroni. In Provence, our Rye follows the maturation method used by American bourbon distilleries, in a dry climate with significant temperature variations, all within tin-plated cellars to further accelerate temperature changes.

The Distillery
Heir to a long tradition of plant distillation and a pioneer of French whiskies, with the first malt distillation on Breton soil in 1983 and the launch four years later of "WB", the first Breton whisky, Warenghem is today one of the most important and serious players in the French whisky industry. Its Armorik range of single malts demonstrates a know-how in terms of ageing and blending that is still too rare in France today.
